JSS Education Foundation

JSS Education Foundation is a part of the tradition of educational excellence established by the Jagadguru Sri Shivarathreeshwara (JSS) Mahavidyapeetha. Using a multi-pronged concept of education through its 300 institutions, including three leading engineering colleges: SJCE (Mysore), JSSATE (Noida) and JSSATE (Bangalore) as well as JSS Medical College Mysore, JSS College of Pharmacy Ooty and JSS Education Foundation Mauritius, JSS Mahavidyapeetha have become pioneers in socio-cultural education forging the concept of learning as a tool for social change.

From humble beginnings less than six decades ago, today JSS MVP has grown into a social force that transcends boundaries and cultures. Institutions in its fold go beyond education to span crèches, old homes, cooperatives, rural development, orphanages, vocational training, publications and even cultural revival and the protection of our heritage. Every activity that the JSS MVP undertakes is aimed at the furtherance of its objective to a brighter, more fruitful future for society at large.

Philosophy

A graduate program is the intellectual nerve center of any university, the place where advanced research and teaching come together to merge with the communal ethics of learning and the freedom of inquiry. This belief underlies the activities of JSS Education Foundation.

The intellectual momentum of the region is on the rise; to strengthen its traditional centers of excellence and sustain this upward trajectory, JSS Education Foundation seeks to recruit able and promising students to engage in programs and projects that are innovative and intellectually challenging. In the new paradigm of Education for the Global century, it is essential that individuals enter a spectrum of consolidation for their knowledge base.

We at JSS Education Foundation understand that any good curriculum constantly changes in response to new technologies, insights and ideas. As such, we value the role of interdisciplinary education and our programs integrate elements from various disciplines.

Discipline-based scholarship responds to the challenge that comes from close contact with the methods and perspectives of other disciplines. By crossing freely through the various boundaries of disciplines JSS Education Foundation generates a greater vision of knowledge and its uses to which they may be applied by the professionals trained to use them through interconnections and interactions of various platforms and ideas.
